Welcome to Gifts of the Holy Land. These terms apply whenever you use our website at https://giftsoftheholyland.com or buy from us. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. We’ve tried to keep them plain and fair. If anything is unclear, please write to us at hello@giftsoftheholyland.com.

1. Our products

Our pieces are made by hand by artisans in Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Because each is handmade from natural materials, the piece you receive will differ slightly from the images on our website in grain, color, size and detail. These natural variations are part of each piece’s character and are not defects. We describe and measure our products as accurately as we can; handmade measurements may vary slightly.

2. Prices and availability

All prices are in US dollars. Shipping costs are shown before you pay, and any applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout. Some pieces are made in small numbers or are one of a kind, so availability can change at any time. If a piece becomes unavailable after you order, or if a price was listed in error, we’ll contact you and either cancel the affected item with a full refund or, if you prefer, offer an alternative.

3. Orders

When you place an order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your receipt. That email confirms we have received your order; it does not guarantee that the order can be fulfilled. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if we suspect fraud, if an item is unavailable or if there was an obvious pricing error. If we cancel an order you’ve paid for, we’ll refund you in full.

4. Payment

Checkout and payments are handled securely by Shopify. You can pay with the methods offered at checkout: major credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal where available. By paying, you confirm that you’re authorized to use the payment method you choose. We never see or store your full card number.

5. Savings and promo codes

• Bundle savings are applied automatically based on the number of items in your cart: 10% off for 2 items, 15% off for 3 items and 20% off for 4 or more.
• Promo codes, such as our 10% welcome code, are single-use, expire on the date given with the code, and are applied after bundle savings. One promo code may be used per order.
• Codes have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for cash, and can’t be applied to orders already placed.
• We may end or change an offer at any time, but changes won’t affect an order you’ve already placed.

6. Shipping and delivery

Shipping options, costs and delivery times are described in our shipping policy. Delivery times are estimates. Ownership of your order and the risk of loss pass to you when the carrier delivers it. If something goes wrong in transit, we’ll help, as described in our policies.

7. Returns and refunds

You may return unused items within 30 days of delivery, and damaged items are replaced or refunded without needing to be sent back. The details are in our refund and return policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Emails

We send order emails (such as confirmations and shipping updates) to every customer. We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them, and every such email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive our marketing text messages, you can reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply. 9. Our website and content

The text, illustrations, photographs, designs and logos on this website belong to Gifts of the Holy Land or the artisans and partners who created them, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You’re welcome to share links to our pages. Please don’t copy, reproduce or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Using our website

Please use our website lawfully and kindly. Don’t attempt to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access to it, submit false information, or use automated tools to collect data from it.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work hard to keep our website accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Gifts of the Holy Land is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the United States, you may also have the protection of the consumer laws of your own country.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page, with its “last updated” date, applies to orders placed from that date. Orders already placed are governed by the terms in effect when you placed them.
