Christ Pantocrator, Hand-Painted Icon

The Pantocrator, Christ "Ruler of All", is the most ancient and most beloved image of Our Lord in Christian art. Our iconographer in Jerusalem paints each one by hand on a gessoed wood panel, layer by layer, in egg tempera, the same method used for over a thousand years.

The halo and background are laid in genuine 23-karat gold leaf. Each icon is blessed before it leaves Jerusalem and takes several weeks to complete.

• Hand-painted in traditional egg tempera, never printed
• Genuine 23-karat gold leaf that will never tarnish
• Traditional gessoed wood panel with a hanger on the back
• Blessed in Jerusalem and signed by the iconographer
